Since 1961, Deaf & Hard of Hearing Society has proudly provided programs and services to enhance the lives of those who are Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing.
As a registered charity, (Charitable Registration number 107009-409RR0001) we rely on the generosity of individuals and organizations to do our work.
You are invited to join a special group of supporters who enable us to meet the needs of the Deaf and hard of hearing now and into the future.
Some of the ways your gift will be put to work:
- Our technical expertise in assistive listening devices will equip hard of hearing clients with the best equipment for their unique situation
- Skilled and highly qualified interpreters will be available to facilitate communication between Deaf individuals and hearing audiences
- Families with Deaf children will learn critical skills in American Sign Language so that family members may communicate with each other and begin that all-important early learning development
- Hard of hearing individuals will learn tools and strategies through speechreading (lip-reading) to reduce the frustration in communicating in difficult listening situations
- Deaf individuals will find the resources and information they need to navigate the roadblocks they encounter.

Monthly Donations
Lend your hand….become a Silent Helper!
You are invited to join a very special group of supporters who care about the needs of families affected by hearing loss. Silent Helpers is a new program created by the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Society that enables you to make a monthly contribution in a safe and convenient way.
You might ask yourself why making a monthly gift is so important. Ask anyone who manages their household budget about the need to know how much money is coming in every month and you’ll understand.
Nonprofit organizations like DHHS are no different. We need to know we have a steady source of funds every month to provide important programs and services that people who are Deaf, deafened or hard of hearing depend on. We also need to know that we can meet our monthly expenses today and in the future!
